A color cathode-ray tube (10) has an evacuated envelope (11) with an electron gun (26) therein for generating at least one electron beam (28). The envelope further includes a faceplate panel (12) having a luminescent screen (22) with phosphor lines on an interior surface thereof. A uniaxial tension focus mask (25), having a plurality of spaced-apart first metal strands (40), is located adjacent to an effective picture area of the screen. The spacing between the first metal strands defines a plurality of slots (42) substantially parallel to the phosphor lines of the screen. A plurality of second metal strands (60) are oriented substantially perpendicular to the first metal strands and are insulated therefrom across the effective picture area by insulators (62). The second metal strands are attached by a glass conductor layer (68) to respective right and left first metal end stands (140), outside the effective picture area, to form busbars.

Tube cathodique couleur (10) comportant une enceinte sous vide (11) renfermant un canon électronique (26) qui génère au moins un faisceau électronique (28). L'enceinte comprend également une panneau de façade (12) doté d'un écran luminescent (22) dont les lignes fluorescentes se trouvent sur une surface interne. Un masque de foyer à tension unipolaire (25), possédant une pluralité de premiers torons métalliques espacés (40), est placé à proximité d'une zone image active de l'écran. L'espace se trouvant entre les premiers torons métalliques forme une pluralité de fentes (42) sensiblement parallèles aux lignes fluorescentes de l'écran. Une pluralité de seconds torons métalliques (60) sont orientés pratiquement perpendiculairement aux premiers et sont isolés de ceux-ci dans la zone image active par des éléments isolants (62). Les seconds torons métalliques sont fixés par une couche de verre électroconductrice (68) aux premiers torons respectivement droit et gauche à extrémité métallique (140), en dehors de la zone image active, afin de former des barres de bus.
