Abstract of the Disclosure A developer system comprising a zinc chelate of 4,4'-dihydroxydiphenyl sulfone is provided for developing colorless dye precursors used in carbonless copy paper systems. The system preferably includes a styrene-methacrylic acid copolymer and a mineral matrix, especially sodium aluminosilicate, which promotes reactivity of the chelate. The developer system is particularly useful in coating compositions for carbonless second sheets.
