COLOR IMAGE FORMING METHOD USING LEUCO DYES AND RECORDING MATERIAL CONTAINING LEUCO DYES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A color image forming method comprises bringing a developer into contact with a recording material compris- ing a support and a recording layer containing at least two kinds of leuco dyes being capable of forming colors different in hue from each other on contact with the developer. The leuco dyes are a yellow color forming leuco dye, a magenta color forming leuco dye and/or a cyan color forming leuco dye. The equilibrium constants of the reactions between these dyes contained in the re- cording layer and the developer are not lower than 0.05.
