Color imparting compositions for ink jet printer inks, as well as inks with such color imparting compositions therein, which can be used in a commercially available ink jet printer or the ink jet printer of a postage metering system to print machine readable information based indicia, such as postage, on a substrate, such as an envelope, are disclosed. The color imparting composition includes a water soluble black colorant material adapted to absorb light in a wavelength range between about 400 to 650 nm, such as Reactive Black 31 dye or Direct Black 195 dye, and a water soluble cyan colorant material having a molar extinction coefficient of at least 10,000 at a wavelength maximum in the range of about 580 to 750 nm, such as Direct Blue 307, Direct Blue 199 or Acid Blue 9. The weight ratio of the black colorant material to the cyan colorant material in the color imparting composition is in the range of about 50 to 1 about 5 to 6.
L'invention concerne des compositions de coloration d'encres pour imprimantes à jet d'encre, ainsi que pour des encres renfermant ces compositions de coloration, pouvant être utilisées dans une imprimante à jet d'encre disponible sur le marché ou dans l'imprimante à jet d'encre d'un système d'affranchissement mécanique afin d'imprimer des affranchissements fondés sur des informations à lecture machine, notamment les frais d'affranchissement, sur un substrat, notamment une enveloppe. La composition de coloration comprend un colorant noir hydrosoluble conçu de manière à absorber la lumière dans une longueur d'onde comprise entre environ 400 et 650 nm, notamment un colorant noir chimiquement actif 31 ou un colorant noir direct 195, et un colorant cyan hydrosoluble possédant une coefficient d'extinction molaire d'au moins 10 000 à une longueur d'onde maximale comprise entre environ 580 et 750 nm, notamment un bleu direct 307, bleu direct 199 ou un bleu acide 9. Le rapport en poids entre le colorant noir et le colorant cyan dans la composition de coloration est compris entre environ 50 et 1 et environ 5 et 6.
