COLOR PHOTOGRAPHIC SILVER HALIDE MATERIALS WITH NEW 2-EQUIVALENT YELLOW COUPLERS Abstract of the Disclosure New 2-equivalent yellow couplers for the production of yellow dye images in color photographic silver halide materials having as splittable group a nitrogen containing 6-membered heteroaromatic ring which is linked by the said nitrogen atom to the coupling position of the coupler molecule and capable of splitting off during coupling at the coupling position. The heteroaromatic ring contains a carbonyl group or a corresponding tautomeric hydroxy substituted carbon atom at the 2-position and is either hydroxy substituted at the 4-position or contains at least one other ring nitrogen atom at the 3-, 4-, 5- or 6-position; and in the case where the ring contains two adjoining ring nitrogen atoms the ring is substituted at the 5-position.
