ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An electrophotographic printing machine in which color transparencies are reproduced, The photoconductive member of the printing machine is charged to a substantially uniform level. A screen member is positioned closely adjacent to the photoconductive member. The screen member comprises a transparent sheet having a plurality of spaced, opaque regions thereon. A slide projector projects a light image of the color transparency through a filter and screen member to form a modulated single color light images. A composition frame is disposed on a transparent platen through which the light image of the color transparency is protected. The composition frame defines an opaque border extending outwardly from the light image of the color transparency transmitted therethrough. A defines lens is mounted on the composition frame so that the light image of the color transparency passes therethrough. The composition frame is also illuminated so that a light image thereof is transmitted through the screen exposing the charged portion of the photoconductive member. In this way, a combined modulated light image of composition frame and transparency is recorded so as to produce a combined electrostatic latent image corresponding to both of the foregoing on the photoconductive member.
