A composition for use in preventing colorectal cancer and other neoplactic diseases includes an enantiomerically stable R-NSAID or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in an amount effective to elicit a chemoprotective effect. The composition is substantially free of the S-enantiomer of the R-NSAID. Therapeutic use of the composition is accompagnied by reduced adverse side effects.
Cette invention concerne une composition servant à prévenir le cancer colorectal ainsi que d'autres maladies néoplasiques, laquelle composition contient un anti-inflammatoire non stéroïdien R stable sur le plan énantiomorphe ou un de ses sels acceptables sur le plan pharmaceutique, et ceci dans une quantité suffisante pour obtenir un effet chimioprotecteur. Cette composition ne contient pratiquement aucun enantiomère S d'anti-inflammatoire non stéroïdien R. Une thérapie effectuée à l'aide de cette composition permet de réduire les effets secondaires indésirables.
