ABSTRACT The Colour Coding of Data Carriers The present is a description of a method for colour coding data carriers, such as labels, which comprise a sub- strate onto which several colour code segments of various col- orations have been deposited. In a programme controlled pro- cess it is possible to render the coloration of each indivi- dual colour code segment unidentifiable so that the combina- tion of the remaining colour code segments yield the desired colour code. In this way it is possible to carry out colour coding using a single-colour printer for instance.
