ABSTRACT: A colour display tube having a quadrupole post- focussing electrode consisting of a metal plate having a very large number of apertures, which plate is covered on one side with an insulating film on which a metal film is pro- vided, said insulating film and metal moreover extend- ing on two oppositely located parts of the wall of each aperture, has the advantage that already at a comparatively low focussing voltage between the plate and the metal film electron beams.
