ABSTRACT: In order to reduce the interference radiation radiated by colour television tube during operation, a resistor of approximately 5 kOhm to 100 kOhm is incorpor- ated between the shadow mask and the metal baking of the display screen. The electromagnetic energy radiated by the tube in the frequency band of approximately 150 kHz to 1.5 MHz is reduced by 4 to 6 dB by such a resistor.
