A combination back-up light and sound emitting device (2) includes a housing formed by a reflector (8) and a light transmitting cover (6). A light bulb (17) is mounted within the reflector (8), as is a piezoelectric speaker (24). Both the light bulb (17) and the speaker (24) are electrically connected to an electrical socket (12) in the reflector, into which an electrical plug from the ve- hicle may be fitted. Therefore, once the housing is mounted to a vehicle, electrical connection for both the light bulb (17) and the sound emitting device can be achieved by the single operation of inserting the electri- cal plug into the socket (12).
