ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A COMBUSTION FURNACE AND A METHOD FOR RECOVERING HEAT FROM THE COMBUSTION GAS DISCHARGED FROM THE HEATING SECTION THEREOF A combustion furnace comprising a housing, a heat recovery heat exchanger, a connecting duct, and a combustion gas blower. The heat recovery heat exchanger defines a combustion gas flow path and a circulating air flow path and conducts circulating air from a source thereof through the circulating air flow path in heat transfer relation with combustion gas in the combustion gas flow path. The connecting duct conducts combustion gas from the furnace housing to the combustion gas flow path. The combustion gas blower draws combustion gas through the connecting duct and the combustion gas flow path and maintains the pressure of the combustion gas in the combustion gas flow path below the pressure of the circulating air in the circulating air flow path.
