A garment (10) in the form of a vest or jacket comprises a pair of front panels (12a, 12b) attached to either side of a back portion (14). The panels (12a, 12b) define a pair of opposed front edges (17a, 17b), each of which is contiguous with one of two bottom edge segments (34a, 34b). A vertical bifurcation is formed in the lower part of the back section, defined between a pair of bifurcation edges (24), each of which is contiguous with one of the bottom edge segments (34a, 34b). A first zipper (32) is provided, which, when closed, joins the front panel edges (17a, 17b) to each other, the bottom edge segments (34a, 34b) to each other, and the bifurcation edges (24) to each other. When the first zipper (32) is so closed, and the garment (10) is turned inside- out, a bag (52) is formed.
