COMBINATION GLADHAND AND SHUTOFF VALVE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A combination gladhand and shutoff valve for use in tractor and/or trailer applications has a gladhand body with an air inlet and an air outlet. A seal member is positioned at the air outlet and there is a chamber within the body which connects the inlet and outlet. A valve plug is movable within the chamber toward and away from the seal member along a path coaxial with the outlet and the seal member. The valve plug has portions thereon which cooperate with the seal member to close the outlet. A handle is located outside of the gladhand body and is operatively associated with the valve plug for effec- ting movement thereof between open and closed positions. -1-
