The present invention relates to compositions and methods for treating cancer, by administering a combination comprising a jasmonate derivative (e.g., methyl jasmonate or a compound of any of formulae I through VII or any of the jasmonate derivatives exemplified by such formulae) and at least one other agent selected from a chemotherapeutic agent (e.g., a nitroso-urea, a platinum compound, a taxane derivative, an antitumor antibiotic) and an inhibitor of glycolysis (e.g., 2-deoxy-D-glucose). The jasmonate derivative and the at least one other agent together provide a therapeutic effect, which is preferably synergistic (cooperative).
La présente invention concerne des compositions et des méthodes destinées au traitement du cancer par administration d'une combinaison comprenant un dérivé de jasmonate (par exemple un jasmonate de méthyle ou un composé de l'une quelconque des formules (I) à (VII) ou l'un quelconque des dérivés de jasmonate illustrés par ces formules) et au moins un autre agent choisi parmi un agent chimiothérapique (par exemple une nitroso-urée, un composé de platine, un dérivé de taxane, un antibiotique antitumoral) et un inhibiteur de la glycolyse (par exemple le 2-désoxy-D-glucose). Le dérivé de jasmonate et le ou les autres agents produisent ensemble un effet thérapeutique qui est de préférence synergique (coopératif).
