The problems of the present invention are to find a pharmaceutical composition and a method for treating cancer that exhibit excellent anti-tumor effect. Excellent antitumor effect is achieved when 4-(3-chloro-4-(cyclopropylaminocarbonyl)aminophenoxy)-7-methoxy-6- quinolinecarboxamide or an analogous compound thereof, a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof or a solvate thereof is used in combination with an anti-tumor platinum complex.
