The present invention relates primarily to the field of Locksmithing, within which key blanks are commonly cut to a required profile either by duplication or by cutting to code. Code-cutting machines, being relatively expensive and heavy are more often used in the locksmith's workshop, whereas duplicating machines, being less expensive and lighter, are more often used in mobile workshops and on site. There is a clear need within the Locksmithing industry for an economical means of accurately and quickly cutting keys to direct bitting code on site and in the small workshop and mobile workshop. The invention herein disclosed comprises a combination of two principal devices, being a Space Setting Assembly and a Depth Setting Assembly, which, when applied to a key duplicating machine, enables the cutting of a wide range of keys to manufacturers' key bitting specifications and to direct bitting code.
La présente invention touche particulièrement le domaine de la serrurerie, où les clés brutes sont habituellement encochées pour obtenir un contour précis par copie ou suivant un code.
