A combination of a stent and an anti-angiogenic factor. In the preferred embodiment, the anti-angiogenic factor is selected from a group excluding paclitaxel, paclitaxel derivatives and paclitaxel analogues. The stent in situ has a passageway therethrough and is coated on at least a portion of an outer surface or is otherwise suitably provided with the anti-angiogenic factor. The combination may further comprise a polymer, which may function as a carrier for the anti-angiogenic factor.
