A combination package and dispenser including a container defining an interior space and a dispenser opening communicating with the interior space. The container also includes an insert that is received by the container, that bolsters the strength of the container walls, and that supports a spindle on which the winding is supported within the container. The container also includes a core about which an elongated strip of flexible material is wound and which is supported by the spindle within the container.
