A combination blowbox/saveall system (20) and method for use in conjunction with a pick-up roll (22) of a papermachine (18) around which a carrier fabric (26) and running web (28) are moved in concert utilizes a blowbox section (40) for directing air from a source generally away from the surface of the carrier fabric opposite the web to reduce the likelihood of separation of the web from the carrier fabric and a saveall section (60) joined to the blowbox section in a single device. During operation of the system, at least a portion of the air which is directed away from the carrier fabric by the blowbox section for the purpose of preventing separation of the web and fabric downstream of the pick-up roll is used to dislodge water droplets (72) and other contaminants from the surface of the pick-up roll, and these droplets and contaminants are collected within the saveall section for disposal.
Cette invention concerne un procédé ainsi qu'un système combiné de ramasse-pâte et de caisson de soufflage (20) que l'on utilise en combinaison avec un rouleau leveur (22) d'une machine à papier (18) autour duquel un tissu porteur (26) et une bande en circulation (28) se déplacent de concert. Ce système fait appel à une section caisson de soufflage (40) qui va diriger l'air provenant d'une source à l'écart de la surface du tissu porteur faisant face à la bande, ceci de manière à réduire les probabilités de séparation entre ladite bande et le tissu porteur. Ce système fait également appel à une section ramasse-pâte (60) qui est associée à la section caisson de soufflage de manière à former un seul dispositif. Lors du fonctionnement du système, l'air est dirigé à l'écart du tissu porteur par la section caisson de soufflage afin d'empêcher la séparation entre la bande et le tissu en aval du rouleau leveur. Une partie au moins de cet air est utilisée afin de déloger les gouttelettes d'eau (72) ainsi que les autres contaminants de la surface du rouleau leveur, les gouttelettes et les contaminants étant récupérés dans la section ramasse-pâte afin d'être ensuite jetés.
