A wear ring assembly (22) for an air gun includes a support ring (128) having a receiving recess (130) of a first length formed in a surface of an end of the support ring (128). An elastic ring (124) is adjacent an end of the receiving recess (130). A wear ring (126) seats in the receiving recess (130) and is of a second legth, greater than the first length, such that a portion of the wear ring (126) overlaps the end of the support ring (128) thereby covering and deforming the elastic ring (124). The wear ring (126) is formed of a thin, low-friction, wear resistant plastic material having dimensions such that the wear ring (126) does not plastically yield during installation into the receiving recess (130). Installation is accomplished by attaching a core tool adjacent the seal groove (82). The wear ring is installed with an expanding pusher tool, over the core tool and into the receiving recess (130).
Cet ensemble bague d'usure (22), destiné à un canon à air, comprend un bague d'appui (128) présentant un évidement récepteur (130) d'une première longueur, formé sur une surface d'une extrémité de cette bague (128). Une bague élastique (124) est placée à proximité d'une extrémité de l'évidement récepteur (130). On installe la bague d'usure à l'aide d'un outil pousseur et évaseur, en la faisant passer au-dessus de l'outil formant noyau et en l'introduisant dans l'évidement récepteur (130).
