ABSTRACT A combination shipper carton and file storage container comprises a carton having a pair of top flaps hingedly connected to an upper end of a side wall of the carton. Each flap is foldable along its hinge connection to a position in which it extends in an inwardly overlying relationship with respect to the side wall to which it is connected to cooperate therewith to form an open upper end of the compartment. A plurality of slots are formed in each top flap. The slots extend inwardly from the outer edge of each flap and each slot has an inner end spaced a substantial distance from the inner end of the flap in which it is formed to provide an uninterrupted flange extending from the hinge connection to the inner ends of the slots. The flanges cooperate with their associated side wall to rigidify the upper end of said side wall. The slots are arranged to accommodate divider panels. The inner ends of each slot forms a shoulder that will prevent direct removal of the divider panel through the open upper end of the file storage container.
