ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A modular combination of spa and swimming pool is provided which affords a purchaser the option of incorporating the therapy into a swimming pool by removing one or more modular wall panels forming th perimeter of the swimming pool and securing the modular in place of the omitted vertical wall panel thereby integrating the spa into the perimeter of the swimming pool. The spa is provided with a weir at the side of the spa facing the swimming pool to control water flow from the interior of the spa into the swimming pool. The spa, optionally includes a seating area integrally formed on, and exterior to, the spa and faces into the swimming pool. The seating area may include hydrotherapy air jets. The floor of the spa may be covered to convert the spa to a wading pool. The construction provides an economical option in the swimming pool industry by minimizing the inventory of components which must be maintained by a swimming pool supplier that also supplies spa units.
