Anti-hormonal (anti-estrogenic steriod) therapy and immunotherapy are used in combination to treat breast cancer. The preferred immunotherapeutic agent is an immunogen, preferably comprising sialyl-tn, and more preferably is a sialyl -Tn/KLH conjugate.
