The present invention provides a method for treating a patient suffering from depression, comprising administering to said patient an effective amount of a first component which is a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist, in combination with an effective amount of a second component which is a serotonin reuptake inhibitor wherein improvement in sexual dysfunction and/or reduction in gastrointestinal side effects is recognized.
