Combinations of an ACE inhibitor and an epoxy-steroidal aldosterone receptor antagonist are described for use in treatment of circulatory disorders. Of particular interest are therapies using epoxy-steroidal-type aldosterone receptor antagonist compounds, such as eplerenone, in combination with an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor. This co-therapy would be particularly useful to treat congestive heart failure while avoiding or reducing aldosterone-antagonist-induced side effects such as hyperkalemia.
La présente invention concerne des combinaisons d'inhibiteur d'enzyme de conversion de l'angiotensine (ACE) et d'un antagoniste d'aldostérone époxy-stéroidique pour être utilisées dans le traitement des troubles du système circulaire. Plus particulièrement l'invention concerne les thérapies utilisant les composés antagonistes du récepteur d'aldostérone de type époxy-stéroidique, tel l'éplérénone, en combinaison avec un inhibiteur d'enzyme de conversion d'angiotensine. Cette thérapie combinée est d'un intérêt particulier pour le traitement d'insuffisance cardiaque globale tout en évitant ou atténuant les effets secondaires, tel l'hyperalkémie, provoqués par un antagoniste d'aldostérone.
