The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting bone loss in a mammal in need of treatment, which composition comprises (a) an effective amount of a compound of formula I (see fig.I) (I) (wherein R1 and R~ may be the same or different provided that, when R1 and R~ are the same, each is a methyl or ethyl group, and, when R1 and R~ are different, one of them is a methyl or ethyl group and the other is hydrogen or a benzyl group) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; and (b) a progestin.

Composition pharmaceutique pour empêcher la perte osseuse chez un mammifère nécessitant ce type de traitement. La composition renferme : a) une quantité efficace d'un composé de formule I (voir fig. I), où R1 et R2 peuvent être les mêmes ou différents, à la condition que, si R1 et R2 sont les mêmes, chacun est un méthyle ou un éthyle, et si R1 et R2 sont différents, l'un est un méthyle ou un éthyle et l'autre de l'hydrogène ou un benzyle; ou d'un sel correspondant, acceptable en pharmacie; b) une progéstine.
