The invention relates to a combination therapy for the treatment of tumors metastases comprising administration of anti-angiogenic agents and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF.alpha.) optionally together with other cytotoxic agents, such as interferon gamma (IFNy) orchemotherapeutic agents such as anti- EGFR antibodies. The method and the pharmaceuticalcompositions comprising said agents can result in a synergistic potentiation of the tumor cell proliferation inhibition effect of each individual therapeutic agent, yielding more effective treatment than found by administering an individual component alone.
L'invention concerne une polythérapie pour le traitement des tumeurs et des métastases tumorales, qui consiste à administrer des agents antiangiogéniques et le TNF.alpha., éventuellement en combinaison avec d'autres agents cytotoxiques, du type interféron gamma (IFNy), ou des agents chimiothérapeutiques du type cisplatine, ou des inhibiteurs de récepteur ErbB, du type anticorps anti-EGFR. Le procédé et les compositions pharmaceutiques correspondantes, qui renferment les agents susmentionnés, peuvent induire une potentialisation synergique de l'effet inhibiteur de la prolifération des cellules tumorales, pour chaque agent thérapeutique individuel, améliorant ainsi l'efficacité du traitement par rapport à l'administration d'un seul produit.
