ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A combination trailer and forklift unit provides manual lifting and movement of loads together with the ability to be used as a trailer for towing behind a vehicle. The unit comprises: U-shaped frame with a center member having connection means for towing, two side members which with the center member forms the U-shaped frame, each side member having at least one wheel therein, lifting forms within the U-shaped frame, supported at the center member and having means to raise and lower the forks from the ground to a towing position within the U-shaped frame, and a tailgate for joining the ends of the two side members and closing the V-shaped frame, the tailgate having support for ends of the lifting forks when the tailgate is closed.
