A combinational circuit of step-down transformer for a floodlight comprises a step-down transformer. The primary winding connects to AC power of 347VAC. The same magnetic polarity terminal of secondary winding is connected to that of primary winding. The opposite ones of the secondary winding and primary winding are formed into an output terminal. A fraction of power of the total load power is transmitted by the step-down transformer, and the voltage required by a load side is gained when AC supply voltage is subtracted with the reverse series voltage of step-down voltage output (the secondary winding). The features are the increasing efficiency of step down of the utility system, and the lower supplementary loss of step-down transformer than that of the conventional one by 20%, in which the loss may be down to around 4%. The cost is down and the physical volume may also be significantly lowered.
