A combination of an agent which is a substrate for multidrug resistance related protein (MRP) and an inhibitor of MRP which is a non-steroidal anti- inflammatory drug (NSAID) or a structural analogue thereof for simultaneous, sequential or separate use for increasing the potency of the substrate. The substrates include anti-cancer drugs and transition metal complexes. The combinations can be used to overcome the resistance to MRP substrates exhibited in many conditions, such as resistance to chemotherapy where patients have developed resistance, especially as a result of MRP over- expression to their chemotherapy.

Combinaison d'un agent qui est un substrat pour une protéine associée à la résistance multiple aux médicaments (MRP) et d'un inhibiteur de ladite MRP qui est un anti-inflammatoire non stéroïdien (AINS) ou un analogue structurel de celui-ci, destinée à être utilisée simultanément, séquentiellement ou séparément en vue d'accroître la puissance du substrat. Ce dernier peut être un médicament anticancéreux ou un complexe de métaux de transition. Ces combinaisons peuvent être utilisées pour venir à bout de la résistance des substrats de MRP se manifestant dans de nombreuses conditions, telles que la résistance à la chimiothérapie dans laquelle les patients ont développé une résistance, notamment par une surexpression des MRP provoquée par leur chimiothérapie.
