A combined venous and cardiotomy blood reservoir (10) is provided that includes a rigid shell (12) having a top (14), a bottom (16), and a continuous side wall (18). The top and bottom walls (14, 16) are connected to the continuous side walls (18) so as to define a reservoir (10) for venous and cardiotomy blood. A double column structure (20, 24) is provided within the blood reservoir (10), the first column (20) for receiving the degassing venous blood and the second column (24) for receiving, filtering and defoaming cardiotomy blood.

L'invention concerne un réservoir combiné (10) conçu pour contenir du sang veineux et du sang provenant d'un site de cardiotomie. Ce réservoir comporte un boîtier rigide (12) présentant une paroi supérieure (14), une paroi inférieure (16) et une paroi latérale continue (18). Les parois supérieure et inférieure (14, 16) sont reliées à la paroi latérale continue (18) de façon à définir un réservoir (10) destiné au sang veineux et au sang provenant du site de cardiotomie. Le réservoir de sang (10) comporte en son sein une structure à double colonne (20, 24), la première colonne (20) étant destinée à recevoir le sang veineux de dégazage et la seconde colonne (24) étant destinée à recevoir et à filtrer le sang provenant du site de cardiotomie et lui faire subir un traitement.
