A support rack for hanging garments that also acts as a door's hinge-pin. A length of metal rod having the same diameter as the door's hinge pin is bent at two locations to form a triangle having a vertical portion, a horizontal portion and a diagonal portion. The rod's two ends are selectably joined to each other by means of a point on one end inserted into a side-socket formed near the rod's other end. The rod's first and second bends locate the two rod ends such that spring biasing maintains the pointed end seated into the side-socket. To install the garment rack, the vertical rod portion of the open triangle is inserted downwards through one of the door's hinges, thereby replacing its standard hinge-pin. The triangle's pointed, diagonal portion is then forced into the side-socket, thereby closing the triangle at its lower corner. The outer extremity of the triangle is thereby supported at a distance from the hinge axis and swings independent of the door. A vertical member with protruding clothes pegs is hung from the triangle's outer end to serve as a garment rack. Another embodiment adapted for hanging towels utilizes multiple cantilevers that swing about a lengthened, straight hinge-pin. Another embodiment includes shelf modules to provide horizontal storage space for articles.
