A mobile station (2000) includes functionalities enabling the mobile station to communicate with a Public Land Mobile Network (2020). Furthermore, command (2025) and communication and local communications (2027) functionalities enable the mobile station (2000) to remotely control a variety of peripheral devices (2040) through user provided inputs.
