A combined method of separating oxygen and for generating power. An oxygen containing stream is compressed and oxygen is separated from the stream into permeate oxygen and an oxygen depleted retentate in an oxygen transport membrane unit (25) .An anode side (26) of the oxygen transport membrane unit (25) is purged with a pressurized purge stream (42; 42b) made up of pressurized, superheated steam. A pressurized oxygen product stream (20; 20a) is discharged from the anode side (26) of the oxygen transport membrane (25), the product comprising permeated oxygen and steam. The pressurized oxygen product stream (20; 20a) is cooled against itself or the oxygen containing stream. The pressurized oxygen product stream (20; 20a) is condensed by indirect heat transfer with a process fluid (46) that boils to allow power to be extracted from the process fluid. Condensed water (56) is separated from the oxygen product stream (20; 20a) and separated oxygen is extracted as a product (3; 3a) at pressure.

L'invention concerne un procédé combiné de séparation d'oxygène et de génération d'énergie. Un flux contenant de l'oxygène est comprimé et l'oxygène est séparé du flux afin d'obtenir de l'oxygène de perméation et un rétentat pauvre en oxygène dans une unité (25) de membrane de transport d'oxygène. Le côté anode (26) de l'unité (25) de membrane de transport d'oxygène est épuré à l'aide d'un flux (42; 42b) d'épuration sous pression fait de vapeur surchauffée sous pression. Le flux (20; 20a) de produit d'oxygène sous pression est condensé par transfert thermique indirect avec un fluide (46) de traitement qui est porté à ébullition de manière à extraire de l'énergie du fluide de traitement. De l'eau condensée (56) est séparée du flux (20; 20a) de produit d'oxygène sous pression et l'oxygène séparé est extrait en tant que produit (3 ; 3a) sous pression.
