ABSTRACT A combined pump and siphon of the peristaltic type has rollers that are driven along a length of resilient tubing to create the pumping action. The rollers are retractable to permit the pump to operate as a siphon, and also to prevent the forming of any set in the tube. Means are provided that prevents jumping of a roller and thus avoiding attendant noise and lessening of efficiency. The pump has a thermally insulative pistol grip spaced from the main portion of the housing to enable the pump to handle hot fluids while held by hand.
