Combined rivet/nail components comprising two separate or integral portion, i.e. a hollow rivet portion with (1) and a cylindrical shank (2) axially connected to the head, wherein the shank end opposite the end supporting the head (1) comprises a hollow cylindrical space axially formed within the cylindrical shank (2) over all or part of the length thereof; and a nail portion comprising a hollow cylindrical shank with a tapered tip (4) extending from one end thereof.
