ABSTRACT A combined stop and control valve for turbine installations and in particular a steam turbine in which the bodies of independently operable stop and control valves are arranged co-axially to another in a common housing. The control valve is located downstream from the stop valve and opens in the direction of steam flow through it, and the body of the control valve is in the form of a pressure-relieving or servo piston actuated by a spindle. The body of the stop valve is also actuated by means of a pilot valve connected to an actuating spindle.
