ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A knitted fabric specially designed for making the crotch area of a panty-hose or the like undergarment. The fabric comprises a base yarn which is stretchable and made of synthetic material and a terry loop yarn made of liquid-absorbent cotton. The two yarns are knitted together to form terry loops on the inside, with the base yarn defining a plurality of openings for air circulation. The fabric is knitted on a large circular knitting machine, with the provision of a yarn guide which is completely adjustable to precisely feed the yarn to the cylinder needles at the exact intended desired position.
