The invention concerns the combined use of two expression cassettes, one of which is for expressing a useful DNA fragment controlled by a thiamine-regulable promotor region, while the other is for expressing an activator gene, and the host cells used for carrying this invention. The invention also concerns an expression cassette, wherein the useful ADN fragment is controlled by a promoter region derived from the pho-4 Schizosaccharomyces pombe gene as well as the vectors and cells comprising such an expression cassette. A novel method for the production of a useful protein is also provided.

La présente invention a pour objet l'usage combiné de deux cassettes d'expression, l'une permettant l'expression d'un fragment d'ADN d'intérêt placé sons le contrôle d'une région promotrice régulable par la thiamine et l'autre permettant l'expression d'un gène activateur, ainsi que les cellules hôtes dans lesquelles on met en oeuvre un tel usage. La présente invention concerne également une cassette d'expression dans laquelle le fragment d'ADN d'intérêt est sons le contrôle d'une région promotrice issue du gène pho4 de Schizosaccharomyces pombe et les vecteurs et cellules comprenant une telle cassette d'expression. Enfin, l'invention comprend un nouveau procédé de production d'une protéine d'intérêt.
