COMBUSTIBLE GAS DETECTING ELEMENT Abstract of the Disclosure A combustible gas detecting element for detecting the concentration of a combustible gas such as isobutane, ethane, propane and hydrogen. It comprises y-Fe2O3, y-Al2O3 and at least one of La, Ce, Pr and Nd in terms of La2O3, Ce2O3, Pr2O3 and Nd2O3, respectively. This gas detecting element is an improvement over y-Fe2O3, and is advantageous for its highly stable load life even under severe conditions of a high temperature and a high humidity and for its high sen- sitivity to a combustible gas.
