COMBUSTIBLE GAS DETECTION SYSTEM Abstract of the Disclosure A combustible gas detection system in which remotely located combustible gas sensors of the analog type are monitored by central controller. Means are provided at the sensor for converting analog data to digital data and for transmitting such digital data to the controller. Means are provided at the con- troller for testing the integrity and validity of data received from the sensor, for identifying the nature of faults therein and vocally signalling the source of such faults, for computing the concentration of combustible gas at the sensor and for automat- ically determining sensor calibration constants.
