A combustion chamber assembly (16) comprises a plurality of tubular combustion chambers (36) which have their axes arranged generally radially. A transition duct (56) is provided for each of the tubular combustion chambers (30). Each transition duct (56) has a circular upstream end (58) arranged coaxially with the downstream end (40) of the respective tubular combustion chamber (36). An annular resilient member (78) mounts the upstream end (58) of the respective transition duct (56) on a tubular portion (64) of a respective support structure (62). The inner end of the annular member (78) is formed integrally with the upstream end (58) of the transition duct (56) and the outer end of the annular member (78) is secured to a flange (90) on the tubular portion (64) of the support structure (62) by a bolted (96,98) connection. The annular member (78) has a plurality of circumferentially extending slots (80) to allow thermally induced articulation and to maintain the upstream end (58) of the transition duct (56) coaxial with the support member (64).
