ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improved fuel regulator valve for use in combination with an engine combustion control system. The valve comprises a housing having both a pressure chamber and a fuel chamber formed therewithin. Diaphragm means is movably disposed with said pressure chamber dividing the latter into a plurality of variable-volume, pressure subchambers. Partition means is provided within the fuel chamber dividing the latter into a plurality of fuel subchambers. The partition means has an orificed valve seat formed therein for communicating the fuel subchambers with each other. A first port is formed in the housing opening onto one of the fuel subchambers. A second port is formed in the housing and opening onto another of the fuel subchambers. A valving element is coupled to the dia- phragm means for common movement therewith and slidably mounted in the housing for movement onto the valve seat and away therefrom, for closing, opening, and metering throttling communication between the fuel subchambers. Third and fourth ports are formed in the housing and each opens onto a respective one of the pressure subchambers. Means is also provided normally biasing the diaphragm and the valving means in a given direction to open communica- tion between the fuel subchambers. The improvement com- prises pneumatic means, coupled to the housing, and operative for biasing the diaphragm means and the valving means in a direction contrary to the aforementioned given direction.
