The invention relates to a method for heating a material in a zone heated by combustion of a fuel with an oxidant by means of a oxyburner comprising an injector arranged within a block defining a chamber with a confinement index Iconf = (S/S') x (L/L') x (1/(1+ a/100)) = 0,10; the fuel being injected into the burner chamber with a rate IF and the oxidant being injected into the burner chamber at a rate Iox such that 0,7 = IF = 3,6 et 0,3 = Iox = 5,1, provided that when Iox > 3,8 then IF = 3,3.

Procédé pour le chauffage d'une matière présente dans une zone de chauffage par combustion d'un combustible avec un comburant au moyen d'un oxybrûleur comportant un injecteur disposé à l'intérieur d'un bloc définissant une chambre avec un indice de confinement I conf =(S/S') x (L/L') x (1/(1+ .alpha./100)) >= 0,10; le combustible étant injecté dans la chambre de brûleur avec une impulsion I F et le comburant étant injecté dans la chambre du brûleur avec une impulsion I ox de manière à ce que 0,7 <= I F <= 3,6 et 0,3 <= I ox <= 5,1, pourvu que quand I ox > 3,8 alors I F <= 3,3.
