A combustor dome assembly (27) includes a spectacle plate (28) having an opening formed therein that defines an inner circumferential edge (48), at least one swirler assembly (30) defining an inner cylindrical surface (52), and at least one deflector (46) having an outer cylindrical surface (60). These components are arranged such that the outer cylindrical surface (60) is joined to the inner circumferential edge (48) and to the inner cylindrical surface (52).
