In a common rail high pressure pump for diesel engines operated using aircraft fuel, said pump comprising an eccentric ring (2) that is disposed in a pump housing (13), is shaped in the form of a polygon and is driven by an eccentric shaft (1), and comprising pump pistons (8) that can move over the riding surfaces (4) of said eccentric ring and over the contact surface (5) of a tappet plate (3) in the pump cylinders (7) and that is in operative connection with a seating surface (10) of the tappet plate, a thin diamond-like carbon layer (12) is applied onto the previously ground contact surfaces (5) and riding surfaces (4), whereas the uncoated seating surface (10) is designed as a concave bulge. The eccentric ring (2) and the tappet plate (3) comprise a pre-determined high degree of hardness. Due to the synergistic effects caused by the material hardness and coating and the concave seating surface, the frictional forces are reduced by many times, and the life of the high pressure pump which operates on aircraft fuel is increased by many times.

Linvention concerne une pompe à haute pression à rampe commune pour moteurs diesel fonctionnant avec du carburant d'aviation, qui comprend une bague excentrique (2) de forme polygonale, disposée dans un carter de pompe (13) et entraînée par un arbre à excentrique (1), ainsi quun piston de pompe (8) pouvant être déplacé sur les surfaces de course (4) de ladite bague et sur la surface de contact (5) dune plaquette à poussoir (3) dans des cylindres de pompe (7) et se trouvant en liaison fonctionnelle avec une surface dappui (10) de la plaquette à poussoir. Une mince couche de carbone adamantin (12) est appliquée sur les surfaces de contact (5) et sur les surfaces de course (4) préalablement polies, tandis que la surface dappui (10) non revêtue présente une courbure concave. La bague excentrique (2) et la plaquette à poussoir (3) présentent une dureté élévée prédéterminée. En raison de leffet synergique provoqué par la dureté et le revêtement du matériau ainsi que par la concavité de la surface dappui, les forces de frottement diminuent très nettement et la durée de fonctionnement de la pompe à haute pression fonctionnant avec du carburant d'aviation augmente très nettement.
