The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for controlling and operating a diverse transmission network which consists of partial connections, for example, ATM and Ethernet connections, by controlling a TDM- based network. Gateways and routers are provided in the transmission network domain which are controlled by the central control unit, in order to establish or clear a connection. Information concerning the accessibility of specific communication subscribers, gained by means of a communication medium and a communication protocol, is either stored in the area of a central control or is available in a decentralised manner from decentralised connection units for subscriber terminals. The invention also relates to integrated terminals for internet telephony which can also be controlled using TDM-based control. The invention provides a simple method and arrangement, allowing the provision of extremely diverse communication infrastructures which have the advantage of behaving as one single private branch exchange and which interact with conventional controls. An advantageous configuration produces local connections which do not place a strain on specific transmission network devices.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant de commander et d'exploiter un réseau de transfert hétérogène, qui est constitué de liaisons partielles, telles que des liaisons à mode de transfert asynchrone et des liaisons Ethernet, par commande d'un système de transmission à multiplexage temporel. Des passerelles et des routeurs, pourvus dans le domaine du réseau de transfert, sont commandés par le dispositif de commande central, afin d'établir ou de supprimer une liaison. Des informations relatives à l'accessibilité d'abonnés spécifiques au moyen d'un support de communication et d'un protocole de communication sont soit stockées dans la zone d'une commande centrale, soit présentes, de façon décentralisée, dans la zone de dispositifs de connexion décentralisés pour terminaux d'abonné. Cette invention concerne également des terminaux intégrés destinés à la téléphonie sur Internet qui peuvent aussi être commandés par une commande à multiplexage temporel. Cette invention fournit un procédé simple et un dispositif simple permettant de disposer d'infrastructures de communication très hétérogènes qui présentent l'avantage de se comporter comme une installation téléphonique privée unique et de travailler avec des commandes courantes. Selon cette invention, une configuration avantageuse permet d'établir des liaisons locales sans la charge de systèmes spécifiques au réseau de transfert.
