The present invention deals with the problem with packet based services consuming considerable bandwidth over links with shortage of bandwidth. The object of the present invention is to reduce the amount of information when transferring a signalling message and thus save bandwidth. After receiving a signalling message in a first node the signalling message is identified. The signalling message is replaced by an indicator, under usage of information from the identification, which indicator is transferred to a second node. The second node restores the signalling message using the indicator.

La présente invention concerne les services à base de paquets et, notamment, le fait qu'ils consomment une très grande largeur de bande passante sur des liens avec stockage de bande passante. Pour réduire la quantité d'informations lors du transfert d'un message de signalisation et donc faire un gain de bande passante, le message de signalisation est identifié à sa réception dans un premier noeud. Le message de signalisation est remplacé par un indicateur tout en utilisant les informations de l'identification. Cet indicateur est transféré à un deuxième noeud. Et enfin, le deuxième noeud restaure le message de signalisation à l'aide de l'indicateur.
