A communication terminal comprising a reception circuit for receiving text information including line feeds is provided. The communication terminal has a display unit and a memory unit. Control means is provided for storing received text information in the memory unit by combining successive line feeds into one line feed, if the received text information has successive line feeds. In addition, the control means causes display of the stored text information in the display unit.
